Club News

In some of the worst conditions encountered for quite some time, 1st Grade proved too strong for Port at Kully Bay, whilst the Girls fought hard & played well for much of their game, but were unable to mount any scoreboard pressure against Kiama on a muddy Boniara Oval.

In the other game, unfortunately an undermanned Reserve Grade outfit tasted their first defeat going down to Northern Districts at Hollymount Park.

Unfortunately, another serious shoulder injury to Matt Hickmott didn’t help their cause, but to their credit the boys fought hard all day with special mentions to Hayden Batson and William Clarke on making their senior debuts. Also a big thanks to Darren Murray, Matt Farrow, Tristan Woods & Tobias Hanger for lacing on the boots and helping out at short notice.

A huge thanks to everyone that braved the weather and helped out on the sidelines and also congrats to Adriaan Toms on his 50th game for the Club and Taidgh Larkins on making his 1st Grade debut.

This weekend (25th – 27th) there is no AFL South Coast Senior football due to the Junior REP Carnival, however the Tigers will be hosting games at the Showground on Friday from 6 – 9pm, Saturday from 9 -5pm and again on Sunday from 9 till 2pm.

If you can spare a few hours to help out in the canteen, that would certainly be appreciated, plus the standard of talent on display promises to be well worth the trip, so come on down and support the future of AFL.
