TIGER’S TRIUMPHANT IN McCANN’S 300th
The Tigers kicked off their 2021 campaign with a strong 4 quarter effort at West Street Oval on Friday night against the Vikings in the Men’s game to give Luke McCann a fitting result in his 300th game for the Club.
Unfortunately, the girls didn’t fare so well on Saturday, going down to North’s in a fairly one sided affair. Still they never gave up and actually stemmed the flow of goals in the second half.
With a number of girls playing their first game for the Club and in some cases their first game of senior AFL, plus a few players set to return next week, things should start to turn around as we get to know each other and improve our fitness levels.
A big thanks to everyone that turned up on both days to support the Club and to everyone that made it back to the TAV. I know it’s only early days but the signs are certainly promising.
With a few injuries and Reserve Grade kicking off next week at a different venue, it is important that we get good numbers on the track this week and everyone makes themselves available.
